6 Inspiring Women to Follow on Instagram

international womens day

For International Women’s Day 2017, we thought it was about time we shared some love. There are so many women we come across day to day who we find inspiring, ladies like us doing it for themselves. This years IWD #BeBoldForChange calls for us to try and help forge a better world for women and although the main angle maybe in the working world, we think it is relevant across all aspects of our lives. These women below inspire us and we hope will inspire you too. Be it in a small part to dress the way you want to dress, have fun with your work, show you can have it all with work and family life or to have more self love.

Even though the World Economic Forum predicts the gender gap won’t close entirely until 2186 {erm, how shocking is that} we want to try to inspire young women to keep pushing. To believe that they can be whatever they want to be and achieve whatever they set their sights on. In a world where taking selfies seems to be a job {no we have no desire whatsoeva to keep up with this Kardashians} we hope young girls aspire to more, much more, and realise that looks aren’t everything.

Find something you love doing, look forward to going to work everyday, work hard.

International Women’s Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action so let’s get to celebrating some rocking ladies right about….

1. Katherine Omerod & Workworkwork

Not only does she have the wardrobe of dreams we LOVE Katherine’s new website workworkwork.co, an anti-perfectionism project which aims to reveal and explore the non-edited challenges that women face behind what might be portrayed on social media. As an ex~fashion editor she has access to interviews with some big fashion players and we love the angle she takes. Like us, she has a penchant for pretty shoes and fancy bags but her What You See Isn’t Always What You Get motto strikes a chord bringing some reality back into the somewhat unreal world of daily social media that we all take part in. @katherine_ormerod
