Today we want to share with you some lovely artwork that we spotted recently and thought you may like to see too! Below are a few examples of Claire Brewster‘s work which we instantly fell in love with. These paper birds are becoming her signature and we can see why ~ we think the delicate, intricacy in each one is adorable and would love to have one hanging on our wall.
Claire uses old and out of date maps and atlases to create her intricate, delicate and detailed cut outs. The soft, pastel tones in the maps offer a contrast against the graphic, clean lines of the birds and the shadows created in each artwork shows a fantastic extra dimension. Each bird is cut out by hand and pinned onto the wall or in box frames, so if you are a little bit in love with Claire’s work, like we are, you can buy your own birdie here !
