Embroidered Denim of Dreams

Like the evolution of man, denim has evolved. Designs have advanced to offer something new to the denim addicts amongst us. First there was the Vetements effect which has seen stepped hems and panelling make hot news amongst the streetstyle stars and in turn highstreet stores. This season the fancy pant is the hot statement denim item; embroidery, cut work, appliqué and patch working are moving denim on. A new species if you like.

It’s like a pair of your bog standard jeans has broken free of it’s chrysalis to metamorphoses into a beautiful denim embroidered butterfly. Bright, wondrous, unique and colourful. Lovin’ that jeans are getting a glam make over, we styled up these denim pieces as its not just about jeans.

These Needle & Thread dungerees are like a sartorial party in your pants, we don’t think you could wear these and not have fun. Literally an impossibility.

Not only are they a ruddy good fit {not too skinny, not too baggy}, the multitude of styling options are endless as you think about basics underneath and simple trainers, to a great holiday throw on over a bikini to dressing them up in off the shoulder cheesecloth top and 70s platforms like we have here.

Charles Darwin said “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, but the one most responsive to change.” Case in point: the denim pencil skirt. Apart from The Jean, this shape of denim skirt is one that really everyone needs in their wardrobe. Extremely flattering and multifunctional it’s one of those go to pieces when you have no idea what to wear and this embroidered beauty steps it up to the next level, changing a basic into a bloody brilliant.

Can we also point out that the embroidery on both of these styles goes all the way round. A fancy front then empty back is a bugbear of ours that happens all too regularly but these look just as good from either angle. Massive brownie points for this Needle & Thread.

So it doesn’t take a Neanderthal to figure out that this Summer you should take your denim to the next level.

No monkeying around.
