How many berets hats do women these days wear? We certainly have our fare share being bloggers, designers and mothers, so we know a thing or two about multi-tasking and keeping those plates spinning {which in turn can have our heads doing something similar} Let’s get one thing straight we know clothes aren’t going to help you keep those plates air bound but they can make the transition between the roles you play as smooth as Clarke Kent’s quick change in his phone box.

Recently, we’ve discovered the diversity of the Midi Dress; the metaphorical super hero cape for plate spinners at this time of year. With the festive season upon us we get through more costume changes than the local panto running from school/nursery to work meetings to dinner dates and back. But let us introduce you to the ultimate multi tasking garment of the season, The Midi Dress.

How do you get maximum usage out of your pretty midi frock this festive season?? When contemplating a buy nowadays we weigh up how it’s going to slot into our current sartorial situ and if it seamlessly slides into a few looks then it’s in. A statement floral dress is a great buy as there are multiple styling opportunities but we wanted to explore them and see how you can get 3 looks in 1.

These floaty Midi dresses are light weight so that they are perfect for layering under a chunky jumper or over a polo neck. Pair them with a slouchy boot & longline coat for a more casual look and if you want something more shapely add a belt. Equally ditch the jumper for a leather jacket and an ankle boot for slightly smarter or go evening glam with a heel and loadsa sass.

In our view there aren’t many garments that can get you from slouchy to sassy with a few simple additions but this one has our back this Christmas.
