Extra Extra, Read All About it. Millennial pink, the colour that has been grabbing all the headlines this year, will always be close to our hearts but this season there is another shade that’s giving it a serious run for its money. The fashion world {and us} are currently having a moment with the colour red. It’s everywhere and we for 2 are not complaining. Thanks to Dune London and these e~x~t~r~a boots, we got to dip our toes {and thighs in Alice’s case} all in.

Let’s throw it out there that these boots aren’t for the shrinking violets amongst you, that is pretty clear. If you think of clothing items like news stories, some are a page 25 article filler that blend into the background noise and some are front page attention grabbing headlines like both these styles, and that we love. If you saw this post on The Perfect Ankle Boot in collaboration with Dune London, you will know that they are one of our go~to brands for footwear. Always with their fingers on the fashion pulse, without just creating designer dupes, we consistently find something a little different at Dune. This season they have upped their game with bold colour statements and silhouettes that you won’t find elsewhere on the high street and while millennial pink and all it’s similar shades tell a pretty girly story, red is like it’s racier page 3 friend.

You may already have a pair of OTK boots in your wardrobe from last year but we are pretty sure that you won’t have spotted a vivid red pair yet. As soon as we saw these bad boys {‘cos really there is no other way to describe them} we wanted to try them on immediately. Super fun, a bold statement and a little bit saucy makes for a perfect pair of boots. These ones will see you through into Christmas parties {imagine with a simple LBD} and will jazz up a simple skinny jean, mohair knit & warm coat look.

We are getting all the Marant feels in these slouchy 80’s midi boots and styled them {as the weather was still above 15 degrees a bare leg was do~able} with a girly mini and boyish boxy sweater. Add in this seasons most sought after headwear, The Baker Boy hat plus classic A/W jacket shape The Aviator and let your boots do the talking. As the temperature drops we have big plans for these slouchy babies wearing this looser fit boot with a floral floaty midi dress and oversize peacoat to channel that French look. They are also available in black leather and dark charcoal suede too if you’d rather a more muted tone.
