2 things that we love: a good snack and a great interior. Sometimes hand in hand, sometimes separately but we think you’ll agree that nowadays it’s not just the food you feast on that is important. The eyes need feeding too. Not literally mind you, ‘cos that would be weird, but a ‘grammable interior really does matter.
On Instagram you lovely lot seem to like the pretty places we hunt out in our home town so we thought we would show you some of our new and trusty London favourites that always deliver on both fronts:food and views. There are some over exposed cafes that always get the mention but we prefer something a little less well known plus if you went to a cute coffee shop and didn’t Instagram it, did it even really happen?!
Mamasons is a new kid on the block. It’s in our hood, a little walk from our studio and boutique so naturally we just HAD to go and check it out.
Inside is a dream team of palm print & pink velvet, rocking all the interior design boxes plus making it perfect for The ‘Gram. It’s like they almost knew or something. Strictly speaking if you head to Mamasons it maybe more for the ice cream over the coffee with Filipino flavours like lychee, black coconut & matcha green tea on the menu but they do also serve up the caffeinated stuff so whichever takes your fancy we are pretty sure there will be a great photo op waiting to happen. Small but perfectly formed Mamasons is one of our new London faves.
Mamasons 91 Kentish Town Road, Camden, London NW1 8NY
You may well have seen coffees of the pink variety on your Insta feed for a little while now and let’s just say that Palm Vaults were the pink latte pioneers. We first visited this palmy delight a couple of years ago and it’s still one of our favourites. How savvy to make a cafe and a coffee that’s SO photogenic it almost guarantees the Insta crowd will flock. You’ll also find an amazing selection of cakes & food too so well worth the trip if this isn’t in your neighbourhood.
Palm Vaults 411 Mare Street, Hackney, London, E8 1HY
Pastel lovers will rejoice as they set foot in this cafe. Another with an East postcode it’s off the beaten track but worth it for the excellent food dreamy interiors.
A relaxed cool vibe with calming colour palette we are pretty sure you’ll walk away with a full belly and packed camera roll. They even make their own pop tarts served in hot pink diner style baskets & have heart shaped sugar lumps, what’s more to say.
Cafe Miami 24 Lower Clapton Road, London E5 0PD
We stumbled across this cafe online as IRL you wouldn’t stumble across it as it is a little hidden away gem. Tucked in the side of city like buildings this coffeeshop had as at hello. All muted, warm peachy tones and tonnes of greenery this little spot is perfect to relax over your coffee art and admire the modern design. The abstract concrete wall and comfy velvet chairs make for a great visual contrast plus the coffees not bad either.
Now to book a night in the hotel upstairs to see if you dreamy peachy soft thoughts……
Leman Locke 15 Leman Street, London E1 8EN
