Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Happiness. One of those things that’s really important in life but can easily get pushed to the side. Sometimes life gets hard. Sometimes stuff just gets you down. We asked ourselves recently what made us happy and concluded on pretty much the same things: family and a little ‘me’ time. Prosecco & shoes were obviously high on the list too but for the purpose of this post lets not mention that for now.

In our humble opinion you’ve got to find something that makes you happy and hold on to it. But while we may know what makes us happy, sometimes it’s a little hard to get the balance, amirite?! There’s always more work to do, children to look after, houses {and long suffering Instagramhusbands} to manage and sometimes it’s hard to stop and think. Think about what’s important. Think about the bigger picture. We try and make time for this with a little of the good ol’ physical exercise: some old fashioned running, a few gym sessions and a trapeze class. Retail therapy also ranks, obvs.

So while we can’t help you manage your daily sh!t, we can pass on a few tips we’ve learnt along the way to de-stress, get organised and BE HAPPY. Lyfe moto: a clear mind is a happy mind. Organise yourself with apps like Google Keep as a way to keep on top of what you have to do because a To~Do list always goes down well in our book. The kikki.k inspiration journals, help keep us organised and inspired too so that we are able to fully enjoy our time with our family and friends. A white board if you’re old skool and like to see something every day, right in front of your nose to get it done, or even Ban.do journals and planners, they are also super cute {and they come with stickers inside, who doesn’t love stickers?!} For us staying super a little bit organised is always helpful in staying happy. Twirling around in pretty Neve & Noor dresses on rainbow coloured, sun drenched streets helps too.

So if life ever gets you down, plan{ner} it out. Or go shopping.
