Like a French Fashion Editor

Let’s face it, those Parisian’s do it pretty well. Food, wine but mostly style. Understated, nonchalantly dressed up but dressed down. A whole heap of fabulous sartorial contradictions that blend into enviably outfits. Case in point: Isabel Marant. We’ve been long term #fangirls of the lady and her ability to make things instantly desirable even when on paper it just shouldn’t work. Lace up leather trousers, wedge sneakers and chunky, clunky sandals prove our case in point. All a bit wrong but ooohhhhhh so right. And don’t even get us started on the Editors. Emmanuelle Alt et al know what’s up.

For girl about town status, look to our French friends and their ability to mix casual {but well cut} basics with statement accessories in a neutral colour palette.

We opted for the 2 editor tried and tested jean styles: high waisted mom cut and skinny crop kick flare worn with these oversize sweaters by Video Clothing that we LOVE. A chunky lace up sandal or classic pointy pump work equally well to balance out that masculine/feminine mix.

Throw in shades, the undone-done shaggy hair and a statement bag and you’ll be Marant~ing all over town before you know it.
