It’s been a while since we posted any bridal content on our blog but we really wanted to show you guys some behind the scenes of our ‘other lives’ as designers and owners of our label Belle & Bunty. It’s where we started after all. Incase you don’t know, we’ve been working together as designers for years and literally just fell into blogging and the whole Instagram world accidentally! So here is a post all about our latest collection, some pictures of our launch event at Searcys 30 Pavilion Road, Knightsbridge
and also campaign shots modelled by our fellow blogger Naomi Ross.
Inspired by country glamour and the Nashville, Tennessee music scene, ‘Islands in the Stream’ has humble roots around the campfire combined with the glitz and glamour of its biggest stars performing at the iconic Grand Ol Opry country music venue. This collection pays homage to those heartfelt love songs that beckon the great outdoors and the powerful independent women that wander across them. SO what better way to showcase the dresses than with a troup of dancing brides!
‘Islands in the Stream’ is our most most dazzling and embellished collection to date; think shear dresses dripping in translucent sequins, delicate flower field lace and plunging backs crafted with sumptuous satin back crepe. Highlights from the collection include: the Evelyn Dress created with shimmering sequins over a double layered satin under dress in sky blue. The signature godets in a sheer tulle make this a dreamy and luminous piece. From its demure neckline and delicate button details to its plunging seductive back, the effortlessly chic and sophisticated Thelma blouse is a ladylike and scandalous all-in-one. The Tennessee Skirt is tailored in Morocain complete with a racy slit up to the thigh and sweeping into a beautiful mermaid train at the back.

We wanted the style of the campaign shoot to look and feel like the model meant business! We feel this is particularly important in the current climate and would give our collection a ballsy point of difference. Bridal seems to be littered with imagery of whimsey and fragility but this season, we want our message to mirror that of our brides: strong, fun and natural.
Our aim was to set the glitz of the new collection against the beautiful rustic countryside with tumbling fields, horses, stables and ominous skies as a back drop. The Belle & Bunty
bride takes her party with her where ever she may roam, exuding confidence, strength and downright sass with her wedding dress.
The brides that we make dresses for have one thing in common for their wedding: this is a celebration. With the 2019 collection we really wanted to put the focus on the spirit of independence and confidence of the bride, combined with the magic and sparkle of the celebration itself.
The cowgirls that are at one with nature with an untamable spirit are our muses. If these boots are made for walking, then these dresses are made for dancing!
Our collections are manufactured solely in the UK using skilled British tailors and seamstresses to create our dresses and separates. Our workshops and boutique are located in London so we keep our foot print as low as possible and we buy all our fabrics from UK suppliers. Our dresses are Made to Order therefore we hold no stock- we only make dresses when there are orders. This keeps our wastage low and our fabric consumption economical. We use only pure silk for our dresses and pure silk linings too which make sure you feel as cool as you look. We are also proud to be able to offer the majority of our dresses in Vegan fabrics.
