We all know that London Fashion Week is renown for silly outfits and yes you do see a few people who, giving them the benefit of the doubt, must have got dressed in the dark. There is no other explanation. For us, LFW is all about having fun and experimenting with styles you might not wear everyday: stand out, statement pieces.
Take these maxi skirts for instance. Not something you are going to wear to your local Tesco {*other supermarkets are available*} but totally fabulous and SO fun to wear! We deliberated about dressing them down with chunky boots or flatform trainers which would look cute with oversize chunky knits when the Autumn truly does hit.
But for now a lightweight, longline baggy sweater and oversize mens shirt, slashed at the waist were what we went for. Velvet booties are a nod to the fact that it is September, even if the mild weather makes you think otherwise.
