Margate Travel Diaries ~ Gingham on the Beach

Beach, please. We all need a bit of vitamin Sea now and again and what better way of topping up than at the british seaside? Ok… so the weather might be a bit hit and miss but on a good day it’s pretty great. Theres no jet lag, hours {and hours} of travelling or luggage weight worries.

So follow our lead, grab some gingham and head to your nearest beach. Don’t forget to bring your best mate for some twinning action and the accessory that’s become a Summer must have: a super cute pool float. Bye bye Flamingo, hello pineapple!

When it comes to beachwear we both always resort to this type of look: a feminine cotton top and denim bottoms. Both make great packing additions when going away as they can be worn in the daytime for beach attire or mooching around town, but also double up with a small heel as a great laid back look for sundowners and dinner. When packing for a holiday, pieces that can multitask are your best friend.

You keen fashionistas will know that gingham has been in the limelight all year and we think the picnic pattern is perfect for high Summer styles. We also just discovered these awesome Zocalo Chic bags, handmade in Mexico from recycled plastic and love the graphic designs which make the perfect “bung everything in” bag for the beach.
