Natural Fabric Dresses to Wear in a Heatwave

Belle & Bunty fashion bloggers what to wear in a heatwave cotton linen dresses We are not going to lie this heatwave has caught us a little off guard. Not in as long as we can remember has it been this hot, for this long. We are absolutely loving it but our sartorial situation, not so much. We’ve been wearing some really pretty frocks in recent weeks and if you follow us on Instagram you know that we wore some zingy lemon & Other Stories frocks for a rooftop drink at Bar Elba and some gorgeously floaty floral numbers from Debenhams to Henley Royal Regatta all of which we loved. Now with another few weeks of hot hot hot weather forecast we have been searching for natural fibre dresses in silk, cotton and linen to help us feel cooler when everything around us is heating up.

Usually our Summer shopping goes a little like this: April/May~ first signs of sunshine and buy up everything in store, June/July ~ keep adding a few must have bits that are missing from our wardrobes along with some holiday treats, August ~ invest in a sale buy or 2 with an eye on Autumn and how anything bought in recent weeks can carry through to September and beyond. BUT this year, things have changed.

The ongoing high 20 degree temperatures {31 is not a rarity nowadays, say waaaaat} have turned our Summer shopping on it’s head and with August fast approaching we are frantically looking for cool, loose and temperature appropriate dresses all made from NATURAL FABRICS. It’s actually a much harder task than it sounds so we have trawled the shops to handpick our favourites that are all made of either linen, silk or cotton to enjoy these unexpected hot temperatures to the fullest!
