Useful Dresses Your Wardrobe Needs 

We thought we’d start this post mentioning the eye opening interview with Lucinda Chambers, ex British Vogue Fashion Editor who was recently sacked and has shared some verrrrry interesting thoughts in a tell all interview {if you haven’t read it you must here} She raises some really interesting points about the publication and one quote in particular struck a chord……

She said:

“The clothes are just irrelevant for most people – so ridiculously expensive. What magazines want today is the latest, the exclusive. It’s a shame that magazines have lost the authority they once had. They’ve stopped being useful.”

Key word: useful.

Remember the days of pouring over magazines and ripping out pages of things you wanted to buy, then popping to the shops to pick them up. It’s sad to say but they are pretty much long gone. The digital era has really changed the way we shop and dare we say it but could blogs be replacing that useful function that magazines once held. We really try to feature looks which we believe are attainable and therefore do the job that magazines of old used to do. Plus you can click straight through and purchase pieces so easily that we are sorry #notsorry for the shopping enabling.

So talking of useful, let’s get down to the case in hand.

These L.K.Bennett dresses!

You know by now we are big fans {check out our previous L.K.Bennett post here} and these 2 dresses, which are from their brand new collection, are no exceptions. Fabulous prints, flattering cuts and….erm….useful! We’ll be dressing ours up á la seventies style heels for events or dressing them right down with flat sandals and a distressed denim jacket.
