Ways to Wear Leather Trousers

Last week we did a shout out on our Instagram Stories asking for if anyone had any specific needs for outfit advice during the festive season and one BIG response was a “dressy but not too dressy” option that isn’t jeans! When a dress feels too formal and you want something more special than “just jeans” we think a good ol’ pair of leather {or pleather} trousers is the way forward. Both of us own a few pairs and they are the sort of wardobe staple that you will most definitely get out year after year so warrants an investment into a real leather pair or, with vegan leather looking practically like the real thing, try a non-leather style.

Fit-wise, whether you prefer a skinny style or something loser we’ve found some great pairs that we think would be a great option to try out this Christmas period.┬áNow if we are being practical {fashion + practicality?! never!} then a leather trouser is warm, much warmer than a cotton jean which is always a plus point in our books AND if you get the mental image of Ross from friends and his “talcum powder incident” out of your heads then we implore you to consider this style this season.

If we need to sell it to you a little more then we’ve made a speedy styling video showing extra ways to style these pleather trousers over on our Instagram channel which you can see here. We show you styling them down for day, semi smart for dinner and these pure party looks. Just add a blazer or faux fur and you are good to go!

Have we convinced you to go on a break from your jeans yet?!

Just add a slinky top for some textural contrast and party shine plus a killer heel for all the festive merry making.
